Founded in 1987 by Hal Perlman, Designed Products Group focuses its sales efforts on
Engineered Systems Distributors and OEM’s of low voltage systems. Following its belief that
the only recurring sale of a “technical product” is by technical people to technical people, Designed Products Group’s key staff members are all people with engineering type backgrounds.
Hal Perlman, who serves the New York Metro Region and New Jersey, has over thirty five years experience in the low voltage systems field. From consulting engineering thru application engineering and finally sales, Hal has dealt with all corners of the systems business and offers that perspective and experience to assist his customers.
Tim DeBarr, Handling our Midwest Region has been involved with systems in excess of fifteen years. He has experience with Nurse Call, Intercom, Fire, Access Control and CCTV as well as other low voltage systems. His strong business sense and technical understanding has been an asset to his ever growing customer base.
Bill Hollingsworth, with nearly forty years of broad-spectrum system sales, joined Designed Products Group in 1994. Serving the Carolinas, Bill has an extensive list of loyal friends/customers, which continue to grow at an impressive rate. Bill’s experience includes Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Clocks Systems.
Charles Waugh, serving our Northern most territory has over fifteen years of technical support and sales experience in New England and companies such as Security Link and ADI. His systems background includes CCTV and card access as well as fire detection and communications. Acting in large part, as an extension of his customer’s technical capabilities, Charles has succeeded in securing a loyal following.
Erick Jensen, handling our Florida operation, has worked in the security community as factory direct sales and as regional managers for distributor sales domestically since the early 90’s, working the Florida territory in great depth. Erick has had many opportunities to expand his offerings, but elects to FOCUS his efforts.
Since its founding, Designed Products Group has grown from an agency limited just to New York City and New Jersey, to one which sells its products successfully in twenty three states. By concentrating its efforts on only a select few technical products, it has penetrated markets that others could not. A young and aggressive sales agency, taking a leadership position into the 21st century.
